The area is located in Zengwen District, bounded by Jishui River in the north, Zengwen River in the south, and connected to Wushantou District Management Office in the east. It is about 21km long from east to west, 16km long from north to south, covers an area of 336km2 and has an irrigation area of about 7,360 hectares
The water comes from Zengwen and Wushantou reservoirs, and there are eight irrigation ponds; Yanpi, Yanhoupi, Xibupi, Jingpupi, Wushulinpi, Wapi, Fanzitianpi and Beikoupi. Four water pumping stations were set up in Xinzhong, Xizhuang, Qiaotouzi and Xiliao to pump water from Zengwen River and Madou drainage channel as supplementary water sources
